Gillian Cunningham

I was appointed Deputy Head Teacher ay Mortimer Primary school in June 2103. Mortimer is an outstanding school, which in May 2014 was designated as a National Support School and a Teaching School. I have taught for 21 years and prior to my appointment as Deputy Head I was a subject leader for maths. I am very experienced in upper KS2 and KS2 SAT’s . I have I recently completed the Maths Specialist Teacher Programme and as a result of this have implemented and embedded across the school the use of rich tasks, which challenge pupils’ mathematical thinking and knowledge. I have also delivered workshops to parents providing ideas to support and promote maths with their children.
